In conjunction with the 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗗𝗮𝘆 initiated by the International Telecommunication Union, the association African Women in Tech Startups- Africanwits is organizing the 2nd of Girls In ICT Day Innovation Challenge. A coding competition for young university girls dedicated this year to the Littoral Region and to be held on 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟬𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 in the city of Douala.

- 01 team of 05 girls from Scientific and Technological branches from the same school or university in the Littoral region.
- Have a project idea in line with the following theme: Digital solution to fight against gender-based violence
- Coding or programming skills would be an asset for the competition.

The aim is to highlight the crucial need for strong female role models in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers in the cities of Douala, Yaoundé, Ngaoundere and Sangmelima.

The mission of this project is to encourage young girls and women to pursue careers in information and communication technologies.

Au cours de la journée, les participants auront l'occasion d'explorer les principes fondamentaux de Wikipédia, d'apprendre comment contribuer à la création et à la modification des articles, ainsi que d'acquérir des compétences pratiques pour rechercher et vérifier les informations.
