Ses mots 🗣: "Il y a exactement 5 ans, j’ai reçu un appel de Kumba : ma mère venait d'avoir un AVC. J'étais à l'aéroport de Douala, sur le point de partir pour le Royaume-Uni pour la première fois. C'était mon premier concert au Royaume-Uni, organisé par #Napocite . L'accueil n'a pas été génial, j'ai attendu plus d'une heure à l'aéroport d'Heathrow qu'il vienne me chercher. Mais ce n'était pas vraiment un fardeau car j'ai passé du temps à parler avec mon père au téléphone pour prendre des nouvelles de ma mère. Il est finalement arrivé, bien habillé dans une Benz noire. Il m'a fait visiter la ville et nous avons rendu visite à quelques VIPs qui ont promis de faire pleuvoir le lendemain à mon show. J'étais très heureux. Le lendemain matin, il est venu tôt pour m'emmener au restaurant pour le petit déjeuner. Il m'a dit qu'il allait s'occuper des préparatifs de la salle et qu'il viendrait me chercher à minuit pour que je puisse me produire, puisque la soirée se termine à 2h du matin. À 23h, j'étais habillé et prêt pour le show. À minuit, j'ai appelé l'organisateur et son téléphone était éteint. J'ai attendu une heure sans aucun appel de sa part. J'ai appelé un ami qui m'a conduit à la salle. Je suis arrivé à 1h53, j'ai performé pendant 7 minutes et la police a fermé le show. Les fans étaient en colère et ont commencé à jeter des objets sur moi. J'étais dévasté, je suis rentré à l'hôtel et je n'ai pas pu dormir. J'avais espéré gagner de l'argent pour aider mon père avec les factures d'hôpital et je prévoyais aussi de rendre visite à mon petit frère en Turquie, qui avait eu une crise mentale. J'ai reçu toutes sortes d'insultes de la part des blogueurs, des fans en colère et d'un collègue aîné. Il a qualifié mon show de "maison Njangi". Pour la première fois de ma vie, j'ai pensé à tout abandonner, mais je me suis dit : "Chako, dans n'importe quelle situation, mets Dieu en premier", ce que j'ai fait. J'ai reçu un appel de mon ami DJ Takeaway, qui m'a apporté une réservation de 1000 livres pour performer à une fête. J'ai utilisé 500 livres pour organiser un show gratuit pour les fans en colère. Ensuite, je suis allé en Turquie pour passer du temps avec mon frère. Je suis revenu au Cameroun sans un franc. 5-6 ans plus tard, ce frère fait une tournée au Royaume-Uni pour la première fois et je lui souhaite rien que de l'amour. Je supplie tous les Camerounais au Royaume-Uni de lui montrer le soutien qu'il mérite. Nous devons montrer aux plus jeunes la voie de l'amour et de la fraternité. Comme on dit, la charité commence à la maison. Dieu est Amour 🤎🙏🏾…"

According to Mythology, Kumba was founded by a local hunter called Midiki Bokeng. Since kumba was originally a Bafaw tribal capital formed during the Mediki war, Mediki Bokeng who was a Bafaw indigene was sent by Chief Nguti to f!ght and câpture other settlements around, which he did successfully with the help of Eseme Modu, câpturing as far as Ekombe.

LE VIADUC DE MBAKWA SUPE ( Kumba -
Mamfe) le plus long d'Afrique centrale.
🇨🇲Le viaduc de MBakwa Supe, dans la Région du Sud-Ouest, entre Mamfe et Kumba. Ce viaduc construit entre 1989 et 1992 est le plus haut et le plus long de toute l'Afrique noire. Il n'est pourtant pas très connu de la majorité des camerounais.
Il est majestueux et offre un spectacle époustouflant du paysage. L'impressionnant ouvrage vieux de de plus de 28 ans fait peau neuve depuis quelque mois
Au détour d'un virage, pas loin du point kilométrique 50 de la route Kumba-Mamfe nouvellement construite, apparaît, comme sorti de nulle-part, cet ouvrage gigantesque.
Majestueux, le viaduc de Supe fascine le voyageur, qui ne peut s'empêcher d'exprimer de manière sonore sa stupéfaction : « Je ne pouvais pas imaginer pareille infrastructure au Cameroun ». Gracieusement, l'infrastructure de 1274 mètres de long étend ses bras de béton et d'acier, pour embrasser les deux montagnes dont il fait la jonction. Un filet d'eau au loin, s'écoulant sur un des flancs abrupts, en ajoute à la féerie du spectacle. Les arbres en bas semblent rabougris, ou tout simplement révérencieux devant la majesté de l'ouvrage...
Durant la traversée, on en oublie presque de remarquer la nouvelle parure de ce dompteur des montagnes. En effet, à la faveur du chantier routier Kumba-Mamfe, des travaux de réfection ont été réalisés sur le viaduc de MBakwa Supe.

For years, our artist went towards French Africa but it has proven not to be sustainable. This is because the entertainment culture is NOT our culture and we don’t even speak the language. We have had to adapt and ended up losing creativity in the process.
Also, Central Africa doesn’t have the financial infrastructure to support modern day commerce hence the discouraging return on investments. There’s some kind of a blood sucking grip on the banking and financial systems in Francophone Africa, not permitting it to grow and innovate.

While kids like Asake, Ruger and Buju are making billions of Naira in streams, Leo is here trying to sell his album with Momo 😭
How will he get a ROI when he can’t even perform transactions. He’s handicapped even before the race begins.
On the other hand, The Nigerian market has the infrastructure to sell digital content. The highly innovative banking system in Nigeria is really robust and makes digital transactions very suitable, highly preferred, leaving EVERYONE being required to get a bank account and debit card.
This means everyone can subscribe and stream content digitally. Imagine a giant market with a potential of 50 million Spotify users, this means every upcoming artist hits the ground running with 100k monthly listeners. This is the real power of the Nigerian entertainment industry apart from its obvious high population.
To top it all, we can completely relate with Nigeria. Our region was once Nigeria for almost 50 years. We are Geographically close, speak the same official language and share cultural values. Content from West Africa has programmed us for decades.
We grew up listening to P Square, Style plus, 2 face, Timaya, Flavor, Banki W, Bracket etc. These songs programmed us and defined our urban music sound.
That’s why our community only listens to Afrobeats and we can breed pure afrobeats prodigies like Elisha k and Raizy. Also, Our movie industry is programmed by Nollywood, that is why the death of a Nollywood actor will completely hijack our Facebook feeds for days.
Equally, praise and worship in Our Churches has been completely programmed by Nigerian Gospel. Infact delete Naija Gospel from our churches and church service may not hold that Sunday.
My Point is, our community is culturally linked to West Africa and it’s even better because that’s the market that’s driving global showbiz. So, we must complete migrate to that Market.
When Salas and Leo started with that dream team from Buea, if they had gone towards west Africa instead of coming to Douala, I think we should have had better returns from them.
Today, Krys M gets 40 million views on a song on YouTube but over 75% of those views generate her Zero income because they are from Non-monetized Central Africa.
She gets 40million on a song but can’t even get 50k monthly listeners on Spotify, because she resides in a region which doesn’t even have a payment processing system to permit her fans to get a Spotify account and make her rich. It’s Quite unfortunate but that’s the reality in Francophone Africa.
