🎵🎶BOBE YERIMA AFO-AKOM's Autobiography 🎶 🎵

TUBUO TOHMUNTAIN MARTIN, Alias Bobe yerima Afo-akom was born on November 18/11/1956 in NJINIKOM in kom **** Sub Division of the Mentchum Division.

I began my primary elementary education in St Anthony's Catholic School in NJINIKOM North West Providence of CAMEROON, today known as North West Region.

I was born in a family of ten and I was the first. My father, Pa Joseph Tohmuntain was one of the best bottle dance guitarists in West Cameroon and my mother Mama Fransisca Tii was a chorister in St Anthony's Catholic Mission.

At the age 9, my father used to take me along to accompany him to Palm wine 🌴 houses with his guitar

While in the primary school, I became the band leader of the school band . I used to make sure that every Sunday I organize tea time dance commonly known as social gathering for boys and girls to dance from 12noon, after church till 6pm before children went back to their homes considering that there was no electricity in the village in those days.

This was done with a six batterie record player.
Shortly after reunification I got integrated into a reunification orchestra in Old Town Abakwa Bamenda in 1974. And
I was later Inspired by Prince Nico MBARGA's _Sweet Mother_ song and Johnny Tezano's song **** led "Competition for **** ba".
So I decided to go for a music adventure where I trekked for 3 days by foot to Nigeria looking for Prince Nico Mbarga where I presented myself as a musician from Cameroon with a lot of courage and was recruited into his team B.

After my first ever released record inspired by the history of the stolen AFO AKOM produced by a Nigerian producer who had limited mastery of the genre, the album didn't do well in the market.

All the same, I was invited to animate a TV show during the inauguration of Ngongola State Television in 1980 in Nigeria . After a long struggle in Nigeria my music carrier did not boom as expected .

Sadly I was sent out of Nigeria amongst the illegal immigrants in 1982. I came and settled in Garoua and that was when Radio Garoua started broadcasting my music that I produced in Nigeria, and that was when my people in Cameroon began hearing my music for the first time .

Shortly after the arrival of TV in Cameroon, i was invited by Elvis Kemayo for a TV show programme called Télé Podium.

In 1984 I released a song **** led _J'ai Tout Perdu_

And that was another beginning of my music carrier in Cameroon after a long struggle. In 1986 I was Inspired by the Lake Nyos Disaster to release a song **** led _Lake Nyos_ .

In 1991 during the Wind of Change in Africa I released a song **** led _CRYING FOR SALVATION_

In 1992 i released _Ndong Ibolem_

In 1993 I released a song **** led __We Hate Ourselves_, _

In 1997 I released a song **** led _Our Environment_ .

In 2000 I released _Femme Rural_
With many other tracks, including the recently released "AFO AKOM" in 2024.

I can say it has been an amazing journey even with the storms. This has been a journey of a thousand miles which began with passion and a single step, a hard hard road to travel and very very rough.

I love you all 🥰
